air swept coal mill with integrated intake duct system

Wind swept coal mill is a kind of high efficient equipment integrating grinding and drying functions, which can grind coal into fine powder in a shorter time, and can effectively remove the water in coal.

Description

Wind Swept Coal Mill Overview

The wind swept coal mill can control the fineness of coal powder above 85% through a 200 mesh screen, and the moisture is less than 2%, meeting the demand for coal powder in industrial furnaces, rotary kilns, and other high-efficiency combustion equipment.

Features of Wind Swept Coal Mill

  1. Grinding and drying in one: Wind swept coal mill completes both pulverized coal grinding and drying simultaneously, eliminating the need for separate drying equipment and improving production efficiency.
  2. High efficiency and energy saving: Utilizes hot air during grinding, saving energy while ensuring high grinding efficiency.
  3. Stable operation: Reasonable structure and advanced transmission technology ensure stable operation and a low failure rate.
  4. Strong adaptability: Capable of handling various coal types with strong adaptability.

Advantages of Wind Swept Coal Mill

  1. High efficiency grinding: Achieves high grinding efficiency, quickly bringing coal to the required fineness.
  2. Energy saving and environmental protection: Utilizes hot air for drying raw materials, reducing energy waste and effectively minimizing dust pollution.
  3. Low energy consumption: Consumes less energy per unit coal powder compared to traditional equipment.
  4. Less metal consumption: Special materials and processes result in lower metal consumption and longer service life.
  5. High continuity and large production capacity: Designed for continuous operation and large-scale production.

Working Principle of Wind Swept Coal Mill

The wind swept coal mill combines crushing, grinding, and drying. Raw coal is fed into the mill and dries with hot air (about 300°C) entering through the air inlet. The coal enters the grinding bin, containing grinding bodies (e.g., steel balls). As the cylinder rotates, liners lift the grinding bodies, which then fall and crush the coal via impact and friction.
The finished coal powder, mixed with hot air, is sucked out by the induced draft fan and screened by the powder selector. The separator returns unqualified coarse powder for further grinding until the required fineness is achieved. This allows for continuous and stable production and ensures uniform coal powder quality.

Application Areas of Wind Swept Coal Mill

  • Electric power industry: Coal powder preparation in thermal power plants for efficient boiler combustion.
  • Metallurgical industry: Used in metallurgical kilns, fertilizer production, and other processes requiring efficient coal dust.
  • Cement industry: Supplies coal dust for cement kilns to ensure stable combustion during cement production.
  • Mining industry: Used for mineral powder grinding and coal powder preparation in mining smelting.
