Working Principle of Diesel Powered Screw Air Compressor
Air is compressed using a pair of intermeshing screw rotors. During intake, air enters through the inlet and is trapped between the rotors and housing. As the rotors turn, the air is compressed as the space decreases and pressure rises, while lubricant is sprayed for cooling and sealing. The high-pressure air is then discharged through the exhaust port—either to a storage tank or directly to end-use equipment. This continuous process guarantees a stable supply of compressed air.
