Fly Ash Dryer Overview
Fly ash is mainly composed of silica, aluminum trioxide, iron trioxide and calcium oxide and other mineral components, the nature of which is close to volcanic ash. Due to its fine particle size, large specific surface area and high water content, fly ash is inconvenient for direct application, so it must be dried to reduce its moisture and improve its physical properties, so that it can be widely used in building materials, road engineering, cement products and foundation reinforcement and other fields. Fly ash dryer is the efficient drying equipment for this purpose.
Fly Ash Dryer Features
- Multi-layer structure design: the use of three cylinders or multi-layer drum structure, the material in different cylinders between the downstream and countercurrent switching, drying efficiency is significantly improved.
- High efficiency board system: built-in various forms of lifting board (board), can realize the material evenly spread, to prevent sticking wall and agglomeration.
- Adjustable hot air flow: according to the nature of the material to choose parallel or countercurrent drying, strong flexibility.
- High degree of automation: equipped with intelligent temperature control system and automatic feeding and discharging device, easy to operate, safe and reliable.
Advantages of Fly Ash Dryer
- High drying efficiency: through the multi-layer circulation and full heat exchange, to achieve rapid and uniform dehydration of materials, drying effect consistency.
- Significant energy saving and consumption reduction: the use of waste heat recovery and thermal energy gradient utilization, reduce fuel consumption, energy efficiency than traditional equipment to enhance more than 30%.
- Wide adaptability: not only for fly ash, but also suitable for drying slag, slag, clay, silica sand and other high moisture fine granular materials.
- Wear-resistant equipment: the key parts are made of wear-resistant materials to extend the life of the equipment and reduce the frequency of maintenance.
- Good environmental performance: perfect dust removal system (cyclone dust collector + bag dust collector), effectively reduce the dust emission in the exhaust gas, in line with environmental standards.
Working Principle of the Fly Ash Dryer
- The fly ash is first sent to the pretreatment unit (such as crusher) through the conveying equipment to crush the large particle agglomerates to ensure the subsequent uniform drying. The treated material enters into the dryer drum, which is generally slightly inclined, and with the slow rotation of the cylinder, the material moves slowly to the discharge end under the effect of gravity.
- The cylinder body is designed with several sets of spiral arrangement of the coping board, in the cylinder body rotation, the material is constantly raised and scattered, forming a curtain curtain, and high temperature hot air fully contact. The source of hot air can be hot air furnace or gas combustion chamber, the hot air along the cylinder body and flow or countercurrent movement, and the material continues to heat exchange, water evaporation.
- After multi-layer cylinder switching, the material is dried thoroughly and discharged from the discharge port, while the dusty exhaust gas enters into the dust removal device through the induced air system, and is purified to meet the standard discharge. The whole set of process realizes the efficient integrated processing of material drying and gas-solid separation.
Application Fields of Fly Ash Dryer
- Building materials industry: dry fly ash is used to produce cement, concrete, bricks, aerated concrete and other new building materials.
- Road and bridge engineering: used for highway roadbed, dam filling, foundation stabilization and other engineering materials.
- Mineral and metallurgy industry: used for slag, red mud and other solid waste drying and recycling treatment.
- Environmental protection and solid waste utilization: with the solid waste resource utilization project, improve the comprehensive utilization rate of industrial waste, help green manufacturing.
- Chemical industry: to deal with fine-grained powdery materials with high water content, such as silica sand and clay.
