gas cooled roots vacuum pump for chemical Industries

The air-cooled Roots vacuum pump consists of several key components, including the rotor, pump body, and cooler, and employs air-cooling technology to optimize pump performance.

Description

The air-cooled Roots vacuum pump is engineered to deliver high-efficiency vacuum pumping and long-term stable operation, even under high differential pressure. Its oil-free, air-cooled design makes it ideal for demanding industrial applications, offering excellent adaptability, reliability, and ease of maintenance.

Technical Data

  • Power range: 5.5 kW to 355 kW
  • Pumping rate: 1600 m³/h to 13500 m³/h
  • Vacuum level: Medium-high vacuum, adjustable via series connection and process requirements

Features of Air-Cooled Roots Vacuum Pumps

  1. High-efficiency mainframe design: Involute, contactless rotor structure with constant clearance reduces wear and friction, enabling stable operation under high differential pressure and compression ratio.
  2. Air-cooling technology: Cooling gas flows through both sides of the pump body, maintaining performance and preventing overheating—even under high load.
  3. High safety: Robust structure ensures safe, stable operation under severe conditions.
  4. Oil-free structure: Suitable for corrosive or high-temperature gases, eliminating contamination from lubricants.
  5. Flexible series operation: Can be used singly or in series for higher vacuum requirements, adapting to various process needs.

Working Principle

The pump uses two Roots-type rotors rotating in reverse synchronization inside the pump chamber. Gas is captured in the rotor grooves and discharged along the pump body, with each 180° rotation completing a suction and discharge cycle. Air-cooling ensures heat generated during compression is efficiently managed, supporting stable and continuous operation.

Application Areas

  • Chemical industry: Pumping high-temperature or corrosive gases during chemical reactions.
  • Electronics manufacturing: Provides precise vacuum for semiconductor production, coating, and plating.
  • Pharmaceutical field: Used in vacuum drying and pharmaceutical manufacturing to ensure product quality.
