Jaw Crusher Models and Applications

According to the different structure and usage, the common models of jaw crusher are divided into PE for coarse crushing and PEX for medium or fine crushing. It is suitable for crushing materials with compressive strength up to 320MPa, covering almost all hard and medium-hard ores.

Core Working Principle of Jaw Crusher

  1. Curvilinear Extrusion Principle: The whole machine is mainly composed of frame, movable jaw, fixed jaw, eccentric shaft, flywheel, elbow plate, adjusting device and lubrication system.
  2. Operation: When the machine is running, the motor drives the eccentric shaft to rotate through the triangle belt, and the eccentric shaft drives the movable jaw to reciprocate up and down. When the movable jaw moves upward, the angle between the movable jaw and the fixed jaw increases, which pushes the material to be clamped and crushed; when the movable jaw moves downward, the angle becomes smaller, the movable jaw plate leaves the fixed jaw, and the crushed material is discharged out of the discharge opening under the force of gravity. This cyclic action realizes continuous crushing and discharging, which is suitable for large-scale continuous production.

Main Structure and Characteristics of Jaw Crusher

  1. Strong Frame, Strong Impact Resistance: The use of high-strength welded steel plate or the whole cast steel frame, solid structure, adapts to heavy-duty working conditions, especially for crushing large hard rocks, such as granite, basalt and so on.
  2. Wear-resistant Components, Longer Life: The movable jaw plate and fixed jaw plate are made of high manganese steel, with good toughness and wear resistance. The elbow plate is designed as a consumable part, when the equipment is overloaded, the elbow plate breaks automatically, realizing overload protection and preventing damage to the main parts.
  3. High-efficient Kinetic Energy Transmission System: The combination of flywheel and heavy-duty eccentric shaft enhances the inertia of the movable jaw movement, ensures smoothness and continuity of the equipment operation, and reduces mechanical impact.
  4. Flexible and Adjustable Discharge: Equipped with gasket type or hydraulic adjusting device, the discharge size can be flexibly controlled according to the demand, which is convenient to match with the subsequent crushing or screening equipment.
  5. Centralized Lubrication, Easy Maintenance: Lubrication system centralized oil supply reduces manual intervention and maintenance costs; movable jaw adopts reversible structure, one side can be reversed after wear and tear to continue to use, enhancing the utilization rate of parts.
  6. Integrated Motor Design: The body and motor integrated design, without additional foundation installation, is easy to install, space-saving, suitable for field and mobile crushing station use.

Application Fields of Jaw Crusher

  • Mineral Resources Mining: Metal ore (iron ore, copper, gold, lead-zinc ore, etc.), non-metallic ore (limestone, quartzite, talc, etc.).
  • Sand and Gravel Aggregate Production: Used in mechanism sand, concrete aggregate production line, crushing all kinds of natural stone such as granite, basalt, cobblestone, etc.
  • Construction Material Regeneration: Crushing concrete blocks, construction waste, etc., to realize resource recycling.
  • Coal Mining Industry: For preliminary crushing of coal blocks; also used in chemical and water conservancy engineering to provide pre-stage particle preparation for grinding system.
