plastic magnetic drive centrifugal pump with jacket

Plastic magnetic drive centrifugal pumps with jackets have excellent chemical resistance and temperature control features that make them widely used in the chemical, pharmaceutical, food and other industries.

Description

The plastic magnetic drive centrifugal pump with jacket is engineered to ISO2858 standards. Its fluid-contact components feature a composite structure of steel and high-performance plastics (such as fluoroplastics/PTFE), with an intermediate coupling for easy maintenance—simply dismantle the coupling, no need to remove pipelines or the motor.

Performance

  • Flow rate: 1.8 to 400 m³/h
  • Head: 15 to 125 m
  • Maximum operating temperature: 200°C
  • Bearing pressure: 1.6 MPa

Applications

  • Conveying strong corrosive chemical media
  • Transporting organic chemical media and mixed organic/inorganic fluids
  • Chemical, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, water treatment, electronics, and petrochemical industries

Key Features & Advantages

  • Leak-free magnetic drive: Power is transmitted via magnetic coupling, eliminating mechanical seals and the risk of leakage—ideal for volatile, toxic, corrosive, or high-temperature liquids.
  • Jacketed design for temperature control: External jacket regulates pump and fluid temperature using circulating coolant or heating fluid, ensuring safe and efficient operation with high or low temp liquids.
  • Superior corrosion resistance: Fluoroplastic/PTFE construction withstands strong acids, alkalis, solvents, and salt solutions.
  • Hanging structure: No water cooling box needed when conveying high-temperature media; compact and easy to maintain.
  • Energy saving and high efficiency: Magnetic drive system reduces energy consumption and noise during operation.
  • Adaptable to various liquids: Suitable for high temperatures, corrosive fluids, and liquids containing solid particles.
  • Enhanced safety: Jacketed design protects against overheating and flammability risks when handling volatile or hazardous fluids.

Working Principle

  • Magnetic coupling transmission: The external motor’s rotor drives the internal pump rotor through a magnetic field, so no liquid contacts the motor—eliminating leaks.
  • Jacket temperature control: Circulating coolant or heating fluid in the jacket keeps the pump and media at optimal temperature, preventing overheating, freezing, or efficiency loss.

Common Material Selection

  • Fluoroplastics (PTFE): Excellent chemical resistance for strong acids, chlorides, fluorides, and high-temp media.

Maintenance & Precautions

  • Regularly check magnetic drive system for proper power transmission.
  • Ensure fluid circulation in the jacket for effective temperature control.
  • Avoid exceeding recommended operating temperatures, even with jacket protection.
