What is a skeleton oil seal

The main function of the oil seal is to seal the liquid (e.g. lubricant), isolate the parts of the transmission that need to be lubricated from the output parts, and prevent the grease from leaking. Skeleton oil seals not only prevent oil from leaking, but also resist the intrusion of dust. The skeleton in its construction acts like a rebar in concrete, providing extra strength and maintaining the shape and tension of the oil seal. A common representation of an oil seal is the TC oil seal, a self-tightening spring-loaded oil seal that is completely covered with rubber.
Storage and Maintenance Precautions:
- Packaging: Oil seal models are generally packaged in bags, rust-resistant paper or cartons, and it is recommended that the original packaging be maintained to protect against dust before assembly.
- Storage environment: The storage space should be kept clean and ventilated, and humidity should be avoided to prevent corrosion.
- Avoiding light: It should be kept away from light to prevent damage to oil seals by ultraviolet rays, ozone, high temperature and chemical solvents.
- STORAGE METHOD: Do not tie with thin rope or hang on sharp objects to avoid damaging the seal lip.
- Handling Note: Avoid deformation and skeleton falling off during handling and storage.
