hydrogen refueling compressor for hydrogen charging tankers
Hydrogen compressor is a high-efficiency compression equipment specially designed for hydrogen charging, storage and delivery, which is widely used in various aspects of hydrogen energy industry, such as hydrogen refueling station, hydrogen storage, liquid hydrogen production, etc.
Description
Due to hydrogen’s low molecular mass and high mobility, hydrogenation compressors must deliver exceptional efficiency and stability to ensure the safe and reliable handling of hydrogen gas.
Hydrogenation Compressor Features
- Wide power range: Motor options from 3 kW to 220 kW, adaptable to various hydrogen filling requirements.
- Flexible pressure adjustment: Customizable inlet and exhaust pressures meet diverse customer needs and working environments.
- Multi-stage compression options: Choose from 1 to 3 compression stages to optimize hydrogen compression efficiency and suit different pressure requirements.
- Highly efficient charging capacity: Each compressor delivers up to 2000 Nm³/h, ensuring stable performance at high flow rates.
- Digital analog design: Digital analog system and pulse calculation technology accurately control gas flow and minimize pressure fluctuations, improving efficiency and stability.
- Skid-mounted structure: Skid-mounted design allows for rapid installation and deployment, perfect for both temporary and permanent hydrogen fueling stations or storage applications.
Working Principle of Hydrogen Compressor
Hydrogen compressors operate on the volumetric compression principle—gradually compressing the gas to raise its pressure. Multi-stage compression ensures the hydrogen reaches the targeted high pressure:
1. Intake stage: Pretreated, low-pressure hydrogen enters through the inlet and into the compression chamber.
2. Stage-by-stage compression: Hydrogen passes through multiple compression stages, each increasing pressure using pistons or screws.
3. Exhaust stage: The high-pressure hydrogen is discharged into storage or refueling equipment.
4. Digital pulsation control: Digital and pulsation calculations precisely control airflow and reduce pressure fluctuations, ensuring stable, long-term operation.
Advanced sealing and gas isolation technology maintains hydrogen purity, preventing oil contamination or leakage.
Application Areas of Hydrogen Compressor
- Hydrogen refueling stations: Core equipment for compressing hydrogen to high-pressure levels for onboard storage in fuel cell vehicles.
- Hydrogen storage: Compresses hydrogen into high-pressure cylinders for efficient storage and transport, supporting industrial gas supply and large-scale energy projects.
- Liquid hydrogen production: Provides necessary high pressure for hydrogen liquefaction processes.
- Hydrogen infrastructure: Essential for expanding green hydrogen energy applications worldwide.
- Scientific research experiments: Supplies stable, high-purity hydrogen for laboratory and research use in science and technology fields.
- Metallurgical industry: Delivers high-pressure hydrogen as a reducing gas for metal refining processes.
- Electronics industry: Ensures stable, high-purity hydrogen supply for electronic manufacturing and processing.
- Aerospace: Critical for hydrogen fuel delivery and propulsion systems in spacecraft and aerospace applications.
