mobile membrane nitrogen generation system for pipe blowing

The Mobile Membrane Nitrogen Generation System is a highly efficient, portable nitrogen generator designed for oilfield operations, pipeline purging and other industrial applications.

Description

The mobile membrane nitrogen system adopts the combination of screw low-pressure air compressor, membrane nitrogen separator, and high-pressure nitrogen booster compressor, which can provide high-purity nitrogen with a flow rate of 20Nm³/min and a pressure of 15 to 35MPa.

Skid-Mounted Modular Design

The system adopts a skid-mounted modular design, consisting of two independent skids:
1. First skid: Includes low pressure air compressor module and membrane separation nitrogen module.
2. Second skid: Includes high-pressure nitrogen pressurization module.
The equipment features an air-cooled design, is driven by a diesel engine, equipped with a metal cover, and can be mounted on a vehicle chassis—making it suitable for oilfield and other field operation environments.

Features of Mobile Membrane Nitrogen System

  1. Modular design: Each component operates independently for easy transportation, installation, and maintenance.
  2. Efficient nitrogen production: Adopts membrane separation technology to quickly and stably produce more than 95% high purity nitrogen.
  3. No chemicals required: Pure physical separation with no pollution or by-products—environmentally friendly and energy-saving.
  4. High pressure output: Provides high pressure nitrogen up to 35MPa for various industrial needs.
  5. Adaptable to harsh environments: Air-cooled system requires no water, suitable for desert, marine, cold, or high temperature environments.
  6. Widely applicable: Usable in oil and gas extraction, pipeline maintenance, coal bed methane recovery, LNG stations, and more.

Working Principle of Mobile Membrane Nitrogen Generation System

  1. Air compression: Atmospheric air is pressurized to 1.4MPa by a diesel-driven screw air compressor, then filtered and dried to obtain clean compressed air.
  2. Membrane separation nitrogen production: Clean compressed air enters the membrane nitrogen generator, where oxygen, carbon dioxide, and water vapor are discharged by membrane diffusion, while nitrogen is retained. This results in 1.2MPa, ≥95% purity nitrogen.
  3. High pressure pressurization: Low-pressure nitrogen is boosted by an air-cooled piston booster to 15–35MPa for high-pressure applications.

Composition of Mobile Membrane Nitrogen System

  • Air compressor unit: Diesel or electric-driven screw compressor with local control system.
  • Membrane nitrogen generation unit: Air purification system, membrane module, and central control system.
  • High-pressure nitrogen booster: Boosts nitrogen to 35MPa for high-pressure supply needs.
  • Auxiliary devices: Diesel generators, fuel tanks, containers/skid modules (single/double/multiple skid), and ancillary equipment such as foam metering pumps as needed.
